It was made in Frankenmuth, Michigan in 2012. The members of the band are Josh Kiszka (singing), Jake Kiszka ( guitar ), Sam Kiszka ( bass guitar, keyboards ), and Danny Wagner (drums). The band released their first extended play (EP) in April 2017. It is named Black Smoke Rising.On January 19, Greta Van Fleet will help kick off Saturday Night Live's new season as the show's first musical guest of 2019. Greta Van Fleet guitarist Jake Kiszka started the band alongside his brothers Sam and Josh in 2012, and drummer Danny Wagner joined them in 2013.
