Went out to mow the lawn this evening and the engine cut off after about 30seconds of running. I noticed when I turned the key on that the pump did not run like it usually does, but when the engine started and ran I thought maybe I just didn't hear the pump. Then the engine died, and all it does now is crank ... Update: Problem solved Just wanted to up date this issue with my intermittent fuel pump. It was the two relays that are next to the battery. (Denso 056700-9160).Yanmars never need to be bleed after the pump (injector lines or at the injectors) but the "Book" states. "1)-Fill the fuel tank, 2)-bleed first fitting bleed screw closest to the tank, 3)-fuel filter bleed screw (s) 4)-and finally the banjo fitting at the pump. I have to say that the fuel systems are finicky on these Yanmars and your symptoms ....
