Start on the outside edge of the stain to prevent it from widening. Prepare a solution of 2 teaspoons of dish soap, ¼ cup distilled white vinegar and 2 cups of cool water. Soak a white cloth, sponge or soft-bristled brush into this solution. Apply ammonia. Mix one tablespoon of ammonia and 1/2 cup of cool water. Apply the mixture to the stain using a white cloth. Blot until the liquid and the stain are absorbed. .
