Unit Location: Joint Base Charleston, SC Unit Size: 78 Officers, 56 Enlisted (approximate) Mission Statement: The mission of the 701st Airlift Squadron is to recruit, train and provide combat ready aircrews to support the Air Force mission of defending the United States through control and exploitation of air and space by supporting Global Engagement. Members of the 315th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, delivered first responder equipment and aid to the people of Guatemala Feb. 7, 2021. The donated equipment was picked up at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois and was loaded onto two separate C-17s, operated by the 317th Airlift.
