Ruger security 9 problems - Feb 13, 2019 ... I'm a novice. The security 9 is my 1st gun. I've had it about 6 months and put about 1500 rounds through it. Not one problem.

 
Hello. I just signed up. I own and have owned many Rugers; rifles, semi-autos and revolvers. Generally, I have been very pleased with their reliability and accuracy. I've had it happen on more than one of my 380's and won't use it any longer. Love the Ruger Security 9, but the last two times at the range, the gun failed to hold open on last round, with both magazines.
